Today is St. Patrick’s Day. While most are thinking about what green themed outfit they will wear or who’s serving the best green beer. My little family is relaxing at home. In fact, while I write this my boys are playing together in their room (which really makes my heart soar) and my 11-yr-old daughter is snoozing in her bedroom.
I’m drinking my coffee, looking out the french doors, and I think to myself, “We really don’t have any plans today.” None. For the first time in YEARS we didn’t travel for Spring Break and we’ve been blessed with the gift of time. Time together. Time to reflect. Time. to rest. Time to relax. So, on this St. Patrick’s day I’m reflecting on the words from Saint Patrick himself.
Christ with me,
Christ before me,
Christ behind me,
Christ in me,
Christ beneath me,
Christ above me,
Christ on my right,
Christ on my left,
Christ when I lie down,
Christ when I sit down,
Christ when I arise,
Christ in the heart of every man who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me,
Christ in every eye that sees me,
Christ in every ear that hears me.
And I’m listening to this lovely song Michael W. Smith and Leeland. Christ be all around me. What will you reflect on this St. Patrick’s day? #BeEncouraged
