I’m not much of a breakfast eater. I never have been, but I do understand that it’s the most important meal of the day. I get that. I enforce that with my children, but I just can’t get past the idea that it REALLY isn’t for me. I mean…. coffee does JUST fine for me in the mornings.
I think what really gets me about eating breakfast is having to MAKE it. I just don’t have time to do it. I wake up at 4:30 a.m. I make a cup of coffee. I put on my make-up, fix my hair, get the kids stuff ready for school and then I truck it almost an hour away to work. WHEN?! When is there time to eat? So, when I was first introduced to the new Smart Ones Oatmeal, I thought Why not?
HEADS UP! If you’re not an oatmeal lover, you might want to change the way you think about this classic breakfast dish. Each time I make oatmeal it’s either too thick or too watery. I really don’t have time or patience to TRY and make it perfect.
With the new Smart Ones Oatmeal, there’s not guessing. You pick your flavor, pop it in the microwave, stir, and enjoy! This works perfect for my lifestyle because I can just throw it in my lunchbox and make it as I settle in at work. Plus, at 180 calories, 5 grams of protein, and 5 grams of fiber, you’re not totally blowing your diet.
I wasn’t sure a frozen oatmeal would taste great. In fact, I was expecting it to taste a little ‘blah,’ but it was far from it. The steel oats have just enough texture and there are real fruit bites mixed it.
Smart Ones oatmeal are available in a variety of flavors including: Peaches & Cream, Maple and Brown Sugar, and Apple Cinnamon. Look for them in the freezer section of your favorite grocery store. Don’t forget to print out your $1.00 off two coupon!
