I’m in full London Olympic countdown mode. Not only is the count down taking place at work, but at home as well! My kids and I loved watching the Olympic Trials together and have familiarized ourselves with the US athletes we plan to cheer for starting on July 27th.
Now, thanks to Coca-Cola, we’ll be celebrating the summer in a very special way. I’m so excited to announce I am a Coca-Cola 2012 Olympics Ambassador cheering on Olympic Boxer, and Houston Native, Marlen Eesparza. She’s an inspiration to Latinos across the globe and I’m proud to be featuring her, here on Momma Findings. I’ll also be giving you guys fun opportunities to win Olympic Gear and learn more about this Latina as she goes for gold in London! Are you counting down to the 2012 London Olympics?!
This year, Coca-Cola a partner of the 2012 Summer Olympic games in London! As a partner, Coca-Cola has teamed up with an extremely talented group of athletes that are training for the Olympic Games in July. They have been deemed The Coca-Cola 8-pack of athletes and include:

- Henry Cejudo (wrestling)
- Alex Morgan (soccer)
- John Isner (tennis)
- Jessica Long (U.S. Paralympics team – swimming)
- Marlen Esparza (boxing)
- David Boudia (diving)
- David Oliver (track and field)
To celebrate the Olympic Games, My Coke Rewards created an exciting, interactive experience that will help visitors learn about each athlete and use MCR points to redeem exclusive U.S. Olympics and Coca-Cola merchandise.
Our 8-Pack Athlete:
As I mentioned above, I’ve been invited to be a Coca-Cola Olympics Ambassador and have been partnered with an Olympic athlete to cheer on. While we’re supporting ALL the US Athletes, I’m especially excited to be featuring Olympic Boxer Marlen Esparza. Her hometown of Pasadena, is just minutes from where I live in Baytown.
These close ties helps me give my 8-yr-old daughter an up-close and personal look into how Olympic Sized Dreams CAN come true, even for us small town Texas girls. In fact, just earlier this month I found my girl with her jaw dropped after watching Marlen Esparza in this news feature on KPRC Local 2.
That’s my Coca-Cola 8-Pack Athlete. We’re rooting for you back here in Baytown Marlen!!!
