Last December, I went under a BIG beauty transformation. In conjunction with the John Frieda Flat Iron, I used Suave Professionals Keratin Infusion 30-Day Smoothing System. The results were outstanding as I saw my dry, coarse, frizzy hair turn into a long, smooth, straight look. I even posted a video at how surprised I was at the dramatic change. It’s as if I was a whole new person!
I’m excited to announce this March, our beauty pick of the month is the Suave Professionals Keratin Infusion line of products! Plus, we’re also bringing you one easy tip in our Organized Beauty Bliss mini-series.
New Suave Professionals Keratin Infusion smoothes your style, as well as provides a keratin treatment for up to 30 days. Formulated with KERALOCK™ TECHNOLOGY, this revolutionary system infuses hair with keratin protein and leaves it sleeker, smoother and easier to style. The Keratin Infusion 30 Day Smoothing Kit is a simple, at-home alternative to expensive salon keratin treatments that transforms frizz for up to 30 days. The rest of the Keratin Infusion range maintains your smooth style every day
Before I start in on what I thought of the Suave Keratin Infusion line of products, I have to say, forthright, and in BIG BOLD LETTERS… This treatment is NOT for everyone. It’s designed for a specific type of hair and not recommended for hair that has been lightened or double processed. Take the quiz to see if the product is recommended for your hair.
Whew. Now that we have that out of the way, I can show you this:
You probably recognize this picture from December’s post, but it was worth sharing again. The Keratin Infusion Smoothing Kit feels a LOT like a reverse perm. Yes, when I was a child I got a perm (before my natural curls came in). You are still required to protect your clothing and apply in a ventilated room. The smell, I found, was REALLY strong. Make sure you can open a window.
For me, the hardest part was keeping my curls straight while it processed. I took TONS of pictures because I wanted to give you a step by step peek into what you’ll need to do, but I can’t find them anywhere (Yes, even bloggers misplace things).
Also, I’d highly recommend you use the coordinating products after using the smoothing system. The shampoo and conditioner are awesome at keeping your hair shiny and smooth and they EVEN have a dry shampoo. This comes in handy because, us curly hair girls, don’t want to wash our hair too often after it took hours to straighten (my hair is really long).
All in all, the Suave Professionals Keratin Infusion line is PERFECT for MY hair. Please take heed that it’s NOT safe for ALL types of hair. Take the quiz I mentioned above to see if it’s right for you and make sure to follow the instructions EXACTLY as they are in the box, taking the test strand test. This is very important as I’ve heard some people might have a different experience with the product than I did.
You can find Suave Professionals Keratin Infusion line of products in the beauty and hair aisle of your local H-E-B. DEAL ALERT: Don’t forget to print your $2.00 Off Suave Keratin Infusion Smoothing Kit Coupon before heading out!
Our second tip is REALLY simple, but so effective. If you’re like me you have TONS of hair products. I have a million different types of shampoo, conditioner, serum, frizz tamer, hairspray.. I could go on and on. Pick and choose the products you use on a regular basis and store those close to where you normally brush and style your hair. Find a different place for all those “extra” hair products. I store my “extras” in my beauty cabinet, while my regular every day products are stored in a drawer near my mirror.
