The Houston 26th Annual Career and Education Day for teenagers in and around Houston is this Saturday, February 25th and guess what? I’ll be speaking on a blogger panel there. The thought of it all completely frightens me, but man am I excited!
Five years ago, blogging was different. I mean, I started this blog, not as a career path, but as a way to express myself, connect with other struggling parents, and simply find a hope that I’m not alone in the circumstance I was in. Today, however, it’s more than that. It’s become a platform of writing and marketing. It’s morphed into more than just my kids pictures, but an influential website that brings families together (at least that’s what I think in my head any way). So, this Saturday, instead of encouraging families online, I’m taking it straight to families LIVE and in person. Will you join me?
All students from grades 6 to 12 and their parents are encouraged to attend and can expect:
- Free admission to attend!
- Meet with college representatives
- Attend student and parent workshops
- Learn about careers
- Apply for Financial Aid
- Apply for college admission

Our blogger panel consists of some amazing people including Juan of Words, Sandra Says, Frida’s Cafe, and myself. If you’re in the Houston area, it would be so great for you to join us in the audience. I’ll be sure to look for you if you let me know you’ll be there
