Welcome to Part 2 in our Stranger Safety Blog Series. Tomorrow, be on the lookout for 10 Stranger Safety Tips AND a cool giveaway of our favorite Stranger Safety DVD.
Yesterday, I wrote a very difficult post. I let you guys in on the Stranger Safety test we participated in with KPRC Channel 2 News. It was heartbreaking. It was eyeopening. More importantly, it was an experience that will be with us for a very long time. KPRC is airing this segment tonight in their all day event titled Crime Alert: Could Your Child Get Out Alive? Put through the test on whether or not she could be lured away by a stranger, my daughter passed. She remembered the stranger safety rules we’ve taught her over the years, but I’ll be the first to admit, I didn’t teach her alone. The one tool that essentially saved her life, had this been a real life situation, is a DVD called The Safe Side: Stranger Safety.

Over three years ago, I noticed a REAL problem within my young children. They, easily, opened the door to WHOEVER knocked on it. I sought out ways to teach them how dangerous this can be and that’s when I ran across the Stranger Safety DVD. We actually did a review of The Safe Side DVD back in 2009. She was only 5-yrs-old. Today, she’s 8-yrs-old, and after a very real and very scary experiment, I felt the need to show them the DVD again.
This was our first interview over three YEARS ago:
This was our second interview just three DAYS ago:
**Excuse the video quality on BOTH videos. The first was taken with a really old video camera three years ago and the second had some weird lighting issues in our media room.
Three years later, I’m STILL a big advocate of this DVD. There are so many stranger safety tips that kids AND parents, both, can learn. This DVD saved my daughter’s life. To find out more information on The Safe Side products at www.thesafeside.com.
You can purchase The Safe Side DVD on Amazon.com for less than $10.00! That’s a small price to pay for your child’s safety.
