Even before the New Year started my husband and I were discussing reducing our meat consumption by having 2 days a week that are totally meatless. We want to do this not only for health reasons but also for budget reasons.
I was thrilled to have the opportunity to try some of the Veggie Patch products. I picked up the Meatless Meatballs, Burgers and Mini Corndogs from my local grocery store. My 8 year old son loves meatballs and even though I usually make my own, he prefers the store bought meatballs. ( Crazy..right? ) I figured he was the perfect person to test the Veggie Patch Meatless Meatballs out on and he loved them. I did not tell him at first that they were any different from regular meatballs but even after I did he did not care. They tasted good and that was all that mattered!
The Meatless Mini Corndogs were a hit with both kids as an after school snack. I liked them too and I am usually not a fan of corndogs. It had the perfect amount of breading and was a great size to pick up and dip into your favorite condiment.
The Meatless Burgers were my favorite. They had a good flavor and texture and were easy, healthy lunch to take to work. They were very satisfying and perfect with my usual “burger” toppings.
- Spinach Bites with Cheese

- Veggie Dogs
Veggie Patch products can be a little difficult to find. The grocery store closest to my house did not carry anything in the Veggie Patch line. I had to go to another grocery store where I don’t normally shop and was a little further from home.
My family really did enjoy the Veggie Patch products we got to try. I will definitely purchase for my family and look forward to trying some of the other great meatless products.
They are available at major US Retailers such as Costco, H-E-B and Walmart. You can go to their website www.veggiepatch.com to find a store near you and to learn more about their different products. The products retail from $3.99 to $4.49.
