For years and years we lived hundreds of miles away from family. This really took it’s toll around the Holidays. One of the things I remember, in those days, was the on going frustration of not being able to go Christmas shopping with my husband. Someone had to stay home with the kids, right?
This year, it isn’t a problem being we’re home, where our heart is, but for all of you guys who might need a night out sans kids, mark your calendars for December 16th! If you’re in the Houston/Baytown/Crosby/Highlands area, Second Baptist Highlands has all of you sweet Moms and Dads in mind this Holiday Season. So, go on a date night. Go shopping. Go take a nap. Go where your hearts leads you for one night during Second Baptist Highlands’ 2011 Parents Night Out.
Date: December 16, 2011
Time: 7:00pm – 12:00am (Yes, all the way to midnight)
Cost: Donation (Fundraiser for our Youth. Adults will be there to help run the activities and childcare)
Where: 400 E. Wallisville Rd. Highlands, TX 77562
Who: All kids newborn to 5th grade (age 12)
There are TONS of activities planned for the kids including movies, crafts, games, and snacks. All donations will go to helping our youth and preteens raise funds for upcoming retreats and camps. Have questions? Please leave them in the comment section and if I don’t know the answer, I’ll certainly get it for you. Hope to see y’all there!
I know a lot of you guys aren’t in my local area. So, my question to you is… How do you do it? How do you go Christmas Shopping (or even a date with your spouse) if you don’t have family nearby to watch the kids? Babysitters can get costly around this time of year. Trust me. I know.
