My little one loves him some Disney Junior. Ok. Ok. We ALL love this family friendly channel and have, especially, enjoyed Jake and the Neverland Pirates. I mean, who doesn’t love those adorable kid pirates. Izzy happens to be my favorite, but Jake is the coolest in my child’s eyes.
Since its launch this past February, Disney Junior continues to grow and break all previous records for Disney Channel’s preschool programming! Anchored by hit series, Jake and the Never Land Pirates, cable’s #1 series for Boys 2-5 since its launch and on track to be Disney Channel’s #1 preschool series ever, Disney Junior continues to soar. The show currently is among one of the most co-viewed preschool series, with 45% of moms watching with their preschooler.
A music-filled interactive treasure hunt, Jake and the Never Land Pirates introduces a crew of kid pirates – leader Jake and pals Izzy and Cubby – and follows their Never Land adventures as they work to outwit two infamous characters, the one and only Captain Hook and Mr. Smee, from Disney’s classic “Peter Pan.” Along the way, they model teamwork, problem-solving and physical activity, earning gold doubloons as they conquer a variety of tasks. The series features original “pirate rock” music performed by Sharky and Bones of The Never Land Pirate Band.
Our friends over at Team Mom, sent us a Disney Junior themed backpack and the best part? We were one of the FIRST people to take a glance at the newest Holiday Episode airing December 2, 2011 at 8:30am ET.
I also learned that, in early 2012, Disney is launching a standalone 24-hour Disney Junior Channel. This is awesome because my preschooler and I usually have more time to relax and watch TV at night, than we do during the day.
He was SO excited about Jake and the Neverland Pirates gift and we had so much fun viewing the new episode.

So I have to ask… Which Disney Junior TV show is your child’s favorite? It’s hard to beat Jake and the Neverland Pirates for us!
