My children LOVE to cook. Wait. That’s an understatement, cooking for them totally and utterly makes their day. I’m guilty of being “That Mom” who says, “But honey, it’ll be faster if I do it. You can cook tomorrow.” I know. I know, sounds horrible, but I’m slowly learning the importance of teaching my children how to cook and enjoying the moments that come with it.We’re cooking short, easy, and healthy meals together and it’s been quite the bonding experience.
If your child likes to cook, like mine do, they MAY be in the running to be the Next Mini Chef. Barilla just launched “The Next Mini Chef Contest” and is looking for children who can create delicious, healthy recipes made with Piccolini Rich in Fiber-White pasta for the chance to win a $10,000 scholarship. Think your kid has a chance?
Barilla has made entering SO easy. All you have to do is head over to the Next Mini Chef Website, create a healthy recipe with Piccolini Pasta, Add a Photo, Upload, and Share. Entries will then be eligible for the voting process on their website.
I wasn’t sure what Piccolini Pasta was exactly. I mean, I’ve heard of Barilla products. Heck. I use them all the time, but Piccolini just wasn’t familiar to me. So, in case you were wondering… Piccolini Rich in Fiber White looks and tastes just like regular pasta but has three times the fiber; a 100g serving provides over 40% of the Daily Recommended Value (DRV) of fiber and over 30% of the DRV for whole grains, all from natural ingredients. This way, parents can give their kids the whole grains and fiber they need.
So? Do you have a healthy recipe to submit in the Barilla’s Next Mini Chef Contest? Let me know and I’ll be happy to check it out and send a vote your way.
