I told my husband the other day, “Honey. These kids eat us out of house and home.” Since Summer began, our grocery bill has sky rocketed. It seems like I can’t keep enough snacks on hand and that’s a problem when you’ve got three kids under the age of nine tired, hungry, and grouchy after playing in the hot sun.
While keeping snacks on hand is difficult, what I find even MORE difficult is finding healthy easy to serve snacks for kids. Do you find it hard too? So, we’ve discovered Crunch Pak products. These are fruit slices already packaged for easy traveling, easy lunch packing, and easy snacking. Here’s the kicker… they come in fun Disney themed packages now!
Crunch Pak, the leading maker of fresh sliced apples, has a new line of fresh sliced apple products and sliced apple snack packs for kids that are co-branded with Disney. The new Crunch Pak with Disney line features popular Disney characters such as Phineas and Ferb, characters from the Cars 2 movie and meets nutritional guidelines created just for kids.
- Family Size Apple Bags: 12 oz bag of sweet sliced apples in Disney themed bags for the entire family to enjoy.
- Sweet Apple Multi Paks: Each container includes 5 2.2 oz bags of sweet apple slices, individually wrapped.
- Foodles Snack Packs: Packaged in the shape of Mickey Mouse and featuring Mickey and friends characters, FOODLES™ feature an assortment of healthy snack food options including apples, grapes, cheese and pretzels.
In addition to the new Disney co-branded products, Crunch Pak offers a family of healthy fresh food items including Snackers™, Just Grapes and Crunch Pak carrots, all introduced over the past year and gaining distribution nationwide. This fall, Crunch Pak will also offer its first Princess FOODLES™, Cinderella’s Carriage, for back to school snacking.
Crunch Pak was kind enough to send us a few different samples to try in their new Disney line of products. We’re absolutely LOVIN’ the packaging because we’re BIG fans of CARS 2 and who doesn’t like Phineas and Ferb? In fact, later today we’re posting our excitement for the NEW Phineas and Ferb movie. So, stay tuned for that.
Anyhow, the packaging is so cool, I think it invites kids to eat healthy. I mean, if sugary cereal and candy can have fun packaging, why can’t healthy snacks like apple slices? What I REALLY love about the Multipaks is that it comes with individually wrapped apple slice mini paks AND small containers of caramel dipping sauce, in case you need that extra kick. Two of my children love apples all by themselves, but my youngest? He’d prefer yogurt or caramel to dip his fruit in.
Okay, so you’ve got fun characters, healthy apples, now what? Well, we got an exclusive sampling of Foodles, Crunch Pak’s newest products hitting stores everywhere. Think Lunchables with fruit, veggies, cheese, and pretzels. Heck. I want my own Foodles. Each snack comes nestled in the shape of a Disney character like Mickey Mouse and the best part? Girls can be excited because, come Back To School? They’ll have Cinderella Carriage Crunch Paks. Very cool.
While, we absolutely love the convienence of Crunch Pak products, I will say they are a bit hard to find. I looked at two of my regular grocery stores, H-E-B and Wal-mart and they don’t carry them (unless it’s just my particular stores). Make sure you use their product locator before heading out to find Crunch Pak. It’ll save you time and gas.
Crunch Pak Disney themed snacks are perfect for my family. We’re constantly on-the-go making these packs perfect for traveling with, packing lunch, and even out in the sun at the pool. Plus, apple slices are healthy! Score!
You can find Crunch Pak products at various stores such as Target and Kroger. Prices vary depending on product selection and retailer. Don’t have a Target or Kroger nearby? Check out the Crunch Pak product locator to find a retailer near you. Oh, and I almost forgot! They can EVEN be found in kids meals at Burger King!
Parents, what is your child’s favorite thing to snack on? I need more ideas, before my kids start a riot.
