Earth Day is Friday, April 22nd. This year, we’ve partnered with several different companies to celebrate Earth Month by learning ways we can be a little more green and aware of environmentally friendly products, activities, and initiatives.
To sum it up, we brought you a 4-Week Test Drive with Scott Naturals that includes 10 Easy Ways To Go Green. In addition, we’ve let you know about the Green School Makeover Contest and brought you simple green programs for your school that can be easily implemented. To top it off, we’ve even brought you into the beauty side of it by highlighting environmentally friendly hair care products by Garnier Fructis. Today, we ask you to do one thing for the earth this Friday for B Kind 2 Earth Day. Will you join me?
Make Earth Day count for you and your family this year! In all fifty states on Earth Day, families will get outside, appreciate our planet and do good things for the Earth – and their collective actions are going to count, big time. B Kind 2 Earth Day is a project of Nickelodeon, the National Wildlife Federation, TheMotherhood.com and incredible bloggers and organizations across the country.
As one of the Texas Leaders of this project, I’ve committed to be kind to the earth in a variety of ways. On Earth Day, we’ll bring you pictures of our newly created garden in our backyard. Since it’s Friday, we’re planning on a family walk to the park and gathering reusable grocery bags to give to family and friends.
But it doesn’t stop there. B Kind 2 Earth is on a mission is to encourage people to promise to do at least one earth-friendly action on April 22, 2011 — and beyond.
So, I’ve made a promise to myself and my family to continue my efforts to go a little greener and educate myself on different ways to get there. It starts at home, but my core belief is it can trickle down to the school system and local businesses. Look for 3 more posts on my 4 Week Scott Naturals Test Drive, where I’m testing out their NEW line of natural paper products, but moreover, I’m learning ways to become a environmentally responsible for a lifetime.
Will you join me to B Kind 2 Earth? Head over to their Facebook Page and pledge one small thing you can do in your state. Looking for ways you can go green? Are you a blogger participating in Earth Day? Link up your posts with Jolly Mom and Go Graham Go for Eco Living Week!
