Today, everyone is rushing to the stores for roses and candies and jewelry and cards. It’s one of the most romantic holidays we celebrate, Valentine’s Day. As luck would have it (as it does most years), my husband is working and my children are at school, but that doesn’t mean we didn’t celebrate beforehand.
Just a few days ago, we had a double dose of Love Day and Birthday-Day for my children. We made sweet cupcakes. We had dinner together and afterwards? Movie night, complete with Orville Redenbacher’s Popcorn Pop Up Bowls and a dose of Madagascar on DVD. We had to get ourselves mentally ready for a “Move It – Move It” kinda weekend because we were headed to see Madagascar LIVE, but we also wanted to try these cool popcorn bowls because…. well… they aren’t even on store shelves yet! Aren’t we the luckiest?
So, what’s up with the popcorn bowls you ask? Well, Orville Redenbacher has taken popcorn enjoyment to a WHOLE other level with their new Pop Up Bowls. I mean, he really had Moms in mind completely eradicating the need to dirty a bowl. Call us lazy, but man, one less bowl in the sink full of dirty dishes makes for a great day.
So, a few days ago, we were lucky to try these popcorn bowls and I want to let you guys in on the day. We went from this:
And you know what? We may or may not have had dinner before we dug in. Just sayin’. I know you’re probably wondering how these bowls actually work. Don’t worry, I’ll get to that. In fact, on Feb. 20th, I’m headed out to buy these and bringing all of you along via Whrrl to shop with me, but for now………. check out how awesome they are after popped:
Okay, so I know you wanna run out and buy these Pop Up Bowls, but you’ll have to wait a few days. Today is February 14th (Remember to tell everyone you love you love them) and they hit store shelves at Walmart on February 20th! Mark your calendars for your next Movie Night.
How do you celebrate Love Day with your kids?
