|True To My Love
When I was in school, I remember my Mother buying us one thing every year, the Back-To-School Beauty packs at our local pharmacy store. It had everything a girl could need for the start of the school year: Deodorant, Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Mist, Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Lotion, Brushes, and I’m SURE Kotex was in there, although, during those young years, I wanted to think of everything other than the obvious and inevitable.
This was my favorite thing about Back-To-School because it freshened my look and gave me all the tools to keep up with my personal hygiene. Being an athlete in school, I usually needed a set at home AND at school. Girls will be girls and we like to show off our stuff, right? Well, Ed Hardy thought that too when they introduced the Vintage Collage Hair Accessory Line. It SCREAMS stylish and it’s bound to strike up conversation among girls young and old.

Momma Findings Family Thoughts:
|Koi Styling Brush|
I was asked to check out a few products in this line including the Koi styling brush and the True To My Love paddle brush. I wanted to surprise my daughter, who entered 1st grade this year, with her very own “stylish” brush. I know you might be thinking She’s ONLY in 1st grade. Why would she need a stylish brush? Well, in case you didn’t see, she cut off about 6-8 inches of her hair for Back-To-School and she is SO excited about her Selena Gomez like haircut. This girl NEEDS to keep up with her new “do”. If you know what I’m sayin’?
So, the night before school I, sneakily, walked into her room and placed the brushes in her “Hair Accessory Drawer”. The next morning she started getting dressed then I hear her scream. She ran into the kitchen, hugged me, and said, “They’re perfect Mom. Perfect. Actually, they’re REALLY cool.”
You see folks. It’s the little things that matter to girls. For me, it was a pack of girl necessities all bundled together. For my daughter, it’s allowing her to develop her own, unique, stylish personality with a stylish brush. I mean, the designs in the Ed Hardy line are AMAZING. Check it out:
The next morning, she left for school like before. I, sleepily, took a shower. Walked in my bathroom, opened MY hair accessory drawer and saw the Koi brush nestled near my make-up bag with a note that read:
Momma Findings Improvements and Suggestions:
As always, I never forget to mention the snags (and I mean that quite literally in this instance) I encounter with the products we try. Although very trendy and stylish, I had an issue with the Koi Brush. After trying to brush my hair out of the shower, it got tangled really easy. The first time I brushed down, the bristles became detached from the base of the brush. It was pretty difficult to put it back together. I was, then, left with this:
Suggestion: Although this brush is made to tackle tangles, it may not be useful for people with long curly hair, like myself. I suggest to put in a leave-in conditioner before using this brush or simply use a wide tooth comb to get big tangles out. Then use the Koi Brush to finish up.
