Earlier this week, I told you how I love my daughter for being so girly. I like girly girls. I like how sweet they are in pink and how easy it is to relate to them, but then you have the exact opposite of the spectrum. The boys. The all around rough and tumble, car playin’, wrestling, sports fanatic boys. They gag at the thought of dress-up and you might even catch them burying their sister’s Barbie Doll in the backyard. What? Is that just my child?
All kidding aside, although I love the girl I have, my son helps me embrace the exciting and thrill rush of life. There isn’t an instant where I don’t find him wrestling on the living room floor with Daddy or his brother, or Heaven forbid, his sister! He’s a boy. So, when Mattel asked me to check out their newest line of WWE ForceFlex Action figures, I did not hesitate.
Now kids’ favorite WWE® action figures can deliver match-ending finishing moves! Just pull and release the figure’s arms or legs to recreate Superstar signature moves — and totally take down your opponent! Collect all the figures in the FlexForce™ assortment! Play out all the drama of a WWE® exhibition! Features highly articulated body. Authentically sculpted and detailed.
Momma Findings Family Thoughts:
So, I’ll be upfront and say this, I’m not a wrestling Momma. I don’t like the violence of it all or the charade that it appears to be, however, it is as macho as you can possibly get and my boy is macho. All guys, will at one time, be in love with Wrestling. I watched it as a child, you know during the Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant days. Remember those?
Well these days it’s all about Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, and Matt Hardy. It all seems like a foreign land to me. I’m unfamiliar, but when Mattel sent me their new Flex Force action figure to check out, it peaked my interest. How does wrestling appear in households? Do children just happen upon the channel and watch it? Does the interest come from their father or uncles? Is there any particular wrestling event buzz around the lockers at school?
Wrestlemania is one the of the biggest events in WWE. Guys everywhere gear up with friends, food, and Pay-Per-View. Sunday March 28, 2010 marks the day and boys everywhere can unite with Mattel action figures.
Boys dream about being the toughest at school.
Conquering their fears.
Battling through struggles.
Ultimately, being deemed champion.
Do I paint a picture of your son? My 3-year-old dreams in sports, strength, and muscle. Not to say ALL boys are this way, my oldest son is nothing like that, merely relying on his brains to do all the tough talking, but when you think about toys that open up your son’s imagination, how could you leave out action figures?
WWE Force Flex Action figures can be purchased at stores such as Toys R Us, Target, and Walmart, or online at Mattel’s Online Shop for the suggestion retail price of $9.99.
So, Mommas.. tell me something. Is wrestling or the WWE a part of your life? Does Daddy watch it or do you?
