I love Valentine’s Day, no pun intended.
Seriously, I’m the type of Momma who goes WAY overboard to show my children and husband I love them. I buy the cheesy place mats, hang up stringed hearts, bake heart-shaped pancakes in the morning, and place a sweet gift bag in the chair of each child to find when it’s time to eat. What can I say? I’m a sucker for love, conversation hearts, and sweet movies with the kids.
Speaking of Sweet Movies, on January 5th of this year, a timeless Valentine’s Day Classic was released by Disney. Winnie the Pooh: A Valentine for You is better than ever with it’s Special Edition.

Momma Findings Family Thoughts
As a family of five, we watch movies, more so, around Holidays. As I mentioned before, Valentine’s is one of my favorites, so lovey dovey movies are definitely on the agenda every year. It gives us time to snuggle, eat some sweet goodies, watch movies, and talk about how strong love is and the importance of telling and showing our love to those around us.
Winnie the Pooh: A Valentine for You, tells the story of Christopher Robin and how he is “Love Sick”. Winne the Pooh and friends misinterpret owl’s explanation as if Christopher is sick and feel they must help him through his illness.
With other episodes on the Special Edition DVD (Un-Valentines Day and Hero), parents get the chance to introduce Valentine’s Day to younger children who are just now learning about what all this “Love Day” craze is about. It provides a setting for a fun time and an opportunity to learn about the Holiday and teach children ways to love those around them.
Questions You Can Ask Your Children:
You might be surprised with their answers when you ask-
• What is Love?
• How can you show Love?
• Who do YOU Love?
• Use one word to describe Love.
• How can you show love to others (Neighbors, Teachers, Friends, Family, Community)?
• What’s your favorite craft/activity on Valentine’s Day?
• Who would you like to give a Valentines Card to?
There are six Valentines Cards included with this Special Edition DVD, so why not ask your children to pick people in the Neighborhood, Friends that live far away, or Seniors in a local Nursing Home to give these Valentines to.What a great way to show love to others and teach your children little thoughts can brighten the day of those who may not have a Valentine this year.
Winnie the Pooh: A Valentine for You Special Edition DVD can be purchased where ever movies are sold, or Amazon.com for the suggested retail price of $29.99.
