Christmas is knocking on the door and we’re all in a hurry to get those last minute gifts! What are the last few things you purchase? For me, it’s the Stocking Stuffers!
My sweet, sweet, Mother-in-Law made our stockings the very first Christmas we were married and added one on each time a little bundle of joy was on the way. I’ve said this before, but these suckers are HUGE! I need to budget money in just to fill them, but I am incredibly blessed to have such beautiful stockings hanging from my mantle and a Mom who takes the time to make such items. I have to throw this in too, she ALWAYS helps me fill ’em. (Thanks, Mom!)
So, as we’re on the subject of stocking stuffers, I discovered one the coolest boutiques to help you stuff those stockings right up!
Busy Little Elf specializes in handmade toys and whimsical prints! My children and I were ecstatic to review her homemade playdough.
Kelly, the creator and owner of Busy Little Elf, makes the playdough with completely non-toxic ingredients (most right from her kitchen pantry). It is made with wheat flour so this is just a heads up to please keep away from children with wheat allergies. The really great thing is, you can contact her directly should you need wheat-free dough.
We tried the Petals playdough and it smelled amazing, better than that store bought stuff and a whole lot softer. My children easily kneaded, rolled, and cut it with no problem at all.
In fact, they were singing praises of “Playdough Fun” when they realized they can open the containers without my help. Take a look:
For me, this is great because it gives me a whole 10 minutes to breath, wash dishes, fold laundry, or better yet.. go to the bathroom without a child sticking their fingers under the door asking if I’m “done”. I do, however, understand that some of you might not like the fact that they might possibly get into it and spread it on your fancy couch when you’re not looking. Hey! At least it’ll smell good!
No seriously though, my children are begging me to buy more of this cool home made playdough and I plan to do just that!
To learn more about Busy Little Elf or make a purchase click here. Prices are VERY affordable ranging from $12.00 for the basic set to $23.00 for the ultimate set.
You’ll be thrilled to know that she also has a Christmas boutique with some pretty cool felt items. You might want to check that out!
