I have three rambunctious children. It seems we don’t go a day without SOMEONE getting injured. A couple of days ago, Abby runs to the kitchen screaming, “MOM! Mom! Rudy slammed the door on my hand!” It seems my 18 month old slammed the door and it hit her hand before closing. She was crying and as much as I tried to console her she couldn’t bring herself to take a deep breath and calm down. Then I remembered my cute Ouchie Pouch that Erica, from Love Bug Crafts, kindly sent me shown here:
Instantly, she stopped crying and was feeling a little pampered by Momma. The pouches are filled with 100% flax seeds and can be put in the freezer for cool compresses or in the microwave for a few seconds for a warm compress. The pouches are colorful, soft, flexible, and small enough for little hands to hold.
Abby’s boo-boo was forgotten in mere seconds! My children were so impressed by this one, tiny pouch that my 6 year old pretended to hurt himself just so he could use the Ouchie Pouch too. Seriously! I’m pretty sure I’ll need to order more of these because one pouch for this family is not enough.
As a little surprise Love Bug Crafts sent me a Tooth Pillow in the same matching fabric of my Ouchie Pouch. Check it out:
A special tooth pillow for a special kid. The pocket is stitched tight enough to hold the tooth in, but easy for the tooth fairy to get the tooth out! The pillow is filled with non-allergenic, washable poly-fil and is super soft. This is going to be great when Zach, my 6 year old, loses his first tooth. Each pillow comes with a card with this poem on it:
The tooth fairy’s work is almost done
This pillow helps her find your tooth,
She leaves a prize and that’s the truth!
Quality: The fabric is really soft even when it’s been frozen. She does ask you to place the pouch in a ziploc bag to avoid freezer smells.
Functionality: The pouches aren’t cold when you first touch them, but as they are compressed to your skin the seeds inside cool the boo-boo immediately. Plus, it’s just plain fun and engaging. She even personalizes them with the letter of your child’s name! It makes children forget they were even hurt!
Price: I can’t believe how affordable these are! The pouches are 4.00! For an an extra 1.00 she can personalize it for you! Girls, that’s a deal! Her tooth pillows are also 4.00.
