I was recently challenged to read Genesis 49:1-28. These are Jacob’s blessings and prayers he spoke to his children. The challenge isn’t to just read this passage, but to write my own blessings and prayers for my children. With the chaos that surrounds me in the last few months this proved to be easy. I mean, they are the loves of my life. They bring smile, after smile, after smile to me each and every day. It kinda reminds me of participating in a caller contest for the local Christian Radio station. It’s called the Family Name Game. You listen to hear your child’s name and if you do.. just be the right caller and you can brag about how special your child is on air (and you win grocery & gas money as well). I don’t usually “try” to do this, but every time I hear this I think to myself… “Hmm… I know exactly what I would say about Abby, or Zach.. or Rudy” It’s easy… they are such precious babies and I love them so!!
